Caroline Harding, Chief Executive
Caroline has an MBA from INSEAD and 20 years experience in consumer goods marketing. She was previously at Unilever and left her position as a Global Brand Director at the end of 2007 after her son was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder.
Laura Pattison, Head of Marketing
Laura has an MA from Edinburgh University and 13 years of charity marketing experience. Laura has worked at Jeans for Genes for 8 years; she was previously employed in the marketing divisions of Oxfam and The Fawcett Society.
Rebecca Ash, Marketing Manager
Rebecca has a BA(Hons) degree in English literature. She worked for eight years in marketing in the book publishing industry. She previously worked for Random House and Pan Macmillan before joining the Jeans for Genes marketing team.
Lina Abdulkarim, Marketing Executive
Lina graduated with a BA (Hons) Public Relations & Marketing at University of Bedfordshire in 2006. She worked at Unilever as a global brand assistant for Vaseline and Lifebuoy for two years before joining Jeans for Genes' marketing team in December 2007.
Ruth Rivett-Carnac, Marketing Executive
Ruth has a first class honours degree in politics & psychology from the University of Westminster.
She previously worked as a fundraising and communications assistant at the Fawcett Society, the equality rights campaigning charity.
Dani Parry, Events Manager
Following a BA (Hons) degree in Drama and English, Dani spent 10 years working in events in the music and entertainment industry. She wanted to take her experience and apply it to Jeans for Genes and has been working hard to increase our sporting profile and raise awareness through taking Jeans for Genes ‘on the road’ to a variety of exhibitions and shows.
Doron Kristal, Head of Marketing Operations
Doron worked in hotel management for two years before moving into advertising. During his time with the AMV agency, he managed accounts for a number of high street brands including Sainsbury’s and Pizza Hut. Doron has more than eight years of charity marketing experience and has been at Jeans for Genes since 2003.
Caroline Sharp, Head of Strategic Communications
Caroline has more than seven years of PR and communication experience and a postgraduate diploma from Cardiff School of Journalism. She's worked on a number of high profile brands and has run UK and global campaigns for Persil, Heineken and Knorr. She's our in-house strategic specialist and is always looking for new ways to raise awareness of Jeans for Genes.
Lisa Pettifer, Communications Manager
Lisa has a postgraduate diploma in radio journalism and ten years experience as a journalist with the BBC. She joined Jeans for Genes in 2007 after taking a career break to volunteer with the charity for five months.
Huw Bussell, Communications Executive
Huw has a BA joint honours degree in politics and sociology from Newcastle University. He joined Jeans for Genes’ communications team as a permanent member of staff after completing an internship in the summer of 2008. Before joining Jeans for Genes, Huw worked as a teaching assistant at a preparatory school in north London.
Ailsa Taylor, Genetics Education Executive
Ailsa studied genetics at University College London and subsequently obtained an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London. In addition to her role at Jeans for Genes she is also Genetics Editor of BioNews, a free weekly e-newsletter providing news, comment and information on issues in genetics, assisted conception and stem cell research.
