Jeans for Genes Day 2009

Friday 2nd October

Get involved

Jeans for Genes Day 2009 is on Friday 2nd October and we want you to join us.  You could make a huge difference to the lives of children with genetic disorders by organising a Day at your office, school, club or nursery.

We need your help to raise at least £3million to fund much needed care, equipment, research and those trips and treats that can transform the lives of children and their families.

Sign up for a free fundraising pack and we'll send you everything you need to organise your Day.  Just put up the posters and ask everyone to wear their jeans and bring in a donation - simple!

By giving £2 each, 50 people could pay for respite care for a family living with haemophilia, giving Mum and Dad a day off from caring for a child whose blood doesn't clot properly.

Get into the fundraising groove

Music makes people happy, it's great for dancing to and if you get the right beat, it might even increase productivity!

So it's a great idea to base your fundraising around and we have lots of ideas to help you.

You could pay to sing at the office karaoke (or pay your colleagues NOT to sing!), give pupils the chance to show off their latest pair of jeans at a school disco or play musical statues with the toddlers at nursery.

If you spend your spare time entertaining regulars at the local pub, you could organise a Jeans for Genes Day gig.

Or a pop quiz is a great event for the whole family to get involved in - sell correct answers, auction off the experts to teams in need or hold a raffle on the night.

You can make a difference

We know times are difficult but Jeans for Genes Day asks you for just £2 if you're an adult, and £1 if you're a child.  Get everyone on board and you really can change a child's life.
