Gift Aid

Gift Aid is tax relief on money that’s donated to charities.  The government set up the scheme to help charities like us maximise their income.  For every £1 you give, Jeans for Genes will receive an extra 28p, at no extra cost to you!

By filling in the Gift Aid form you’re helping to significantly increase the amount of money we raise every year.

You and your colleagues won’t be signing your life away or agreeing to anything other than allowing us to claim the tax back on that individual donation.

For every pound you donate, the government will add 25p.  HM Revenue and Customs will then add an extra 3p so you can give an extra 28p in total!

If you are UK taxpayers and you made the donations out of your own money (rather than a company account) then we can claim Gift Aid.

When your colleagues make their £2 donation, please ask them to fill in the following details on the Gift Aid form:
•    their name, home address and postcode
•    the amount and date of their donation
•    tick the Gift Aid box to confirm that they are a UK taxpayer

For those of your colleagues who are not eligible or who don’t want to add Gift Aid to their donations, add up their donations and enter the total on a separate line.

Do not tick the Gift Aid box.  We can then claim Gift Aid on the remaining donations where the details have been completed.

We won’t use anyone’s personal details but there is the chance to sign up to occasional updates and news from us by ticking the ‘mail opt in’ box.
