Help the historic Ace Cafe London to raise £100,000 for Jeans for Genes

Ace Cafe London is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2008 by supporting Jeans for Genes.  It’s aiming to raise £100,000 towards the creation of the Jeans for Genes Genetic Roadmap.

Scientists at the Institute of Child Health, the research arm of Great Ormond Street Hospital, want to find the locations of the key genes which cause genetic disorders.

They need to get the full picture – the entire road network not just the main towns and cities – in order to design the best methods of treatment.

With around 25,000 genes in our bodies, you can see that the creation of the Jeans for Genes Genetic Roadmap is no easy task.

There are lots of ways that you can help Ace to reach its fundraising target of £100,000.  You can have your ride-in or drive to an Ace event sponsored and you can also take part in an event at Ace.

Ace will be fundraising for Jeans for Genes on Saturday 13th September as part of their annual Rockers' Reunion weekend.  If you're a fan of '50s and '60s bikes - and music!- it's a great day out for all the family, not just the petrol heads!
