Welcome
This section will tell you everything you need to know about organising Jeans for Genes Day at your primary school.
Thornhill Primary School in Islington, North London
It’s really easy to organise a Jeans for Genes Day at your primary school. The first step is to sign up for your free fundraising pack, full of everything you need to plan your Jeans for Genes Day 2009.
The Day is a great way to inspire staff and children, and to bring the whole school together. Pupils can get involved too. They can organise assemblies, create displays and develop their own fundraising ideas.
They can also learn what it's like to be a child with a genetic disorder. Our new interactive educational materials for key stages 1-2 will help them explore the fascinating world of science and genetics.
The curriculum-focused films, whiteboard activities, animations and discussion guides are available free at www.genesareus.org
"Our school raises money for various charities, but Jeans for Genes is
the one we've supported the longest. Helping children with genetic
disorders has been important to us for almost a decade and we very much
look forward to collecting even more donations this year."Gaynor Dalrymple, PSHCE leader, Meadow Vale Primary School, Bracknell
