Deadline extended for The Genies!

The deadline for your entries for our school awards - The Genies - has been extended.

Thank you for all your entries so far.  We recognise that, as teachers, you're always very busy so we're giving you an extra week to get your entries to us.

To remind you, we want you to tell us about the kinds of activities you organised on Jeans for Genes Day, how much fun you had and what sort of feedback you had from the students and the wider school community.

Education is a key part of our work here at Jeans for Genes and we'd like to know what the children learned on the Day. 

We'll be looking for examples of raising awareness and understanding about difference through using our educational materials or initiatives of your own.

Your prizes

There will be two gold awards, one for primary schools and one for secondary/mixed schools.  The winning schools will receive:

• A 'gold' certificate and plaque that you can display to the school and its visitors
• Button badges for the students
• A professional photo shoot so we can feature you on our website and in our newsletter
• PR support to get your success recognised in your local media
• A prize that money can't buy!

There will also be five silver awards for schools of any kind.  Winners will receive:

• A 'silver' certificate and plaque
• Recognition in our newsletter and on our website
• PR support to get your success recognised in your local media
