Jennifer Ellison is top of the bottoms for Jeans for Genes

Actress Jennifer Ellison is this year's Rear of the Year on behalf of Jeans for Genes.  Coronation Street star, Ryan Thomas, aka Jason Grimshaw, picked up the  men's award on set in Manchester!

Rear of the Year is the annual celebration of the best bums in showbiz and this year's winners accepted the awards in support of Jeans for Genes.

Jennifer, who you'll know from the West End production of Chicago, TV's Brookside, and as the winner of Hell's Kitchen in 2004, says;

"I am thrilled to be voted Rear of the Year 2008.  My love of dancing throughout my life has obviously contributed to a nicely toned rear. I'd like to say a big 'thank you' to everyone who voted for me."

Coronation Street star, Ryan Thomas, says his win "has brought new meaning to the phrase 'builder's bum!"

Both stars accepted their awards wearing a stylish pair of jeans - the only thing item of clothing for best dressed bottoms. 

Their back pockets were decorated with the Jeans for Genes sticker patch to show their support for the charity.
